When we designed E’s nursery, we kept everything gender neutral with a few pink accents so we could repurpose the space for our next baby. She’s starting to outgrow the small room, and since our carriage house rebuild was finished last month, we now can repurpose our old guest room into a (much larger) bedroom + playroom for E.
First on my list for the “big girl room” – a pink rug that could work as a focal point to build the room around.
After two years in a neutral nursery, we wanted something that was slightly more feminine without being overly pink. Our favorites blend soft pinks, corals, and creams, with accents in gold, yellow, or light blue. We also wanted to keep the cost of the rug reasonable (read: not thousands on a vintage rug) so I wasn’t worried about her spilling something on it or snagging it (#toddlerlife).
I think we’re going to purchase option 1, but there’s part of me that’s in love with option 4! Which would you choose?
