THE Affordable Source for Toddler Play Clothes

Raise your hand if you hate buying clothes your toddler is just going to spill watermelon down, cover in sidewalk chalk, and rub in dirt and grass? Me.

I came across the ultimate source for affordable, cute, well-made toddler play clothes. Wait for it….

Walmart.

Note: This post isn’t sponsored. I purchased all of these items myself because I just couldn’t believe how great they were! The links below are affiliate links, which means I make a small commission if you purchase the items I recommend – but that doesn’t increase the cost to you at all!

Yes, Walmart. Their Wonder Nation brand is my new obsession. My in-laws bought Evie the cutest little flamingo romper (on sale for $6 for a two-pack right now!) so I checked the tags, figured out where they bought it, then started my online shopping spree for more. At $5-7 an item, it was easy to just keep adding to my cart.

One thing I will note – the Walmart website can be so rough to navigate. They feature a lot of items from third-parties (some more reliable than others) and as a result, ship time can vary. I prefer to immediately filter for the brands that are direct from Walmart like Wonder Nation and Garanimals to make it easier to shop online. Many of these items are also carried in store, however the sizes at my local shop were pretty limited, and mostly for older toddlers (4T and 5T).

Evie is only 14 months, however we ordered all of these items in a 2T so she can get more wear out of them.

ROMPERS

We love these little play rompers in fun prints. The ice cream cones in this set is precious on, and I can’t wait to pair this strawberry one with E’s denim jacket when the weather cools down a little. They’re priced at $9.94 for a 2 pack, or a little under $5 each in stores.

PLAY DRESSES

E loves these racerback play dresses and I love how easy they make diaper changes (priorities, right?). The 2T size was great even though E usually wears 12-18 months because it’s meant to be a flowy dress. They fit her more like a midi-dress right now – but still so cute!

We purchased this blue and pink pack, and a pink and pink pattern pack. The two pinks are the same tone, but inevitably she’ll destroy one of them before she outgrows them so I’m fine with a backup. The play dresses are also 2 for $9.94.

WOVEN DRESSES

The printed woven dresses are a little more expensive than the 2-pack play dresses but still a steal at $7.42 each. I ordered this cherry and striped one (on clearance now!), this pink gingham option with matching bloomers, and this one in navy with lemons.

SUMMER ACCESSORIES

I purchased these rose gold gladiator sandals (also Wonder Nation, for $10.94) months ago and am shocked they’re still in stock – she gets so many compliments on them! We also added these white Mary Janes to our latest order, and this polka dot swim coverup for our upcoming trip to Hawaii.

She’s already getting so much wear out of these items! I’m really impressed that they’re all from Walmart! Mama friends, where are you finding affordable play clothes for your little ones?
