Fit Girl Fall Fashion

I love this time of year – the cool mornings remind you that fall is just around the corner, there’s pumpkin spice everything (#basic), and I can finally pull all those comfy sweaters out of storage.  Unfortunately, it’s also been a stark realization of how my body has changed in the last year.  All of a sudden, my favorite jeans won’t go over my quads and the cute blazer I lived in last year is a little too snug in the shoulders. I love the muscle I’ve put on over the last two years, but goodness is it hard to find clothes that fit right!

Enter prAna’s lifestyle line, which just might save me this year.  When a company that specializes in yoga pants advertises jeans, I set my expectations high – and they’ve managed to exceed them.  The Kara jeans are the perfect mix of stretch and style, with more than 10 colors and prints to choose from.  I came close to picking this gorgeous shade of deep red, but landed on olive green for the versatility.  These are made with the fit girl in mind.  They easily fit my quads and still dart in at the waist so you don’t have to wear a belt.  Ignore the sizing recommendations on their website – they run true to size.

prAna also seems to have mastered the fit-girl-wool-sweater.  The Lucia sweater is roomy enough to fit my shoulders and not limit movement, and features asymmetrical details that keep it from looking boxy.  Even though it’s wool, the sweater has a great brushed-poly lining to keep it from being itchy.  Seriously.  I could live in this sweater.  (By the way, while I often wear an XS to avoid the boxy look, I opted for a small in this sweater so I could layer it.)  Grab your own for 15% off until September 30th with code PFS16FGF.

C’mon cooler weather.  I’m ready for ya.
