When I wrote my dip nail tutorial a few years ago, I never imagined we would get to the point where DIY manis were the only option. But alas, thanks to social distancing guidelines, here we are.
Anyone else feeling like this??
The tutorial shows you step-by-step how to master dip nails on your own. The challenge? Actually getting the supplies you need, with stores closed and Amazon (rightfully so) prioritizing essential orders over non-essentials. The plus side? Buying everything you need via independent sells costs less than you would pay for 2 salon manicures – and you may just find you can save some $$$ post-quarantine by opting for DIY dip manis!
Check out our DIY Dip Nail step-by-step tutorial and how to remove dip nails at home without damaging your natural nail.
So today, we’re rounding up my favorite sources of dip nail products with quick ship to help you make it through the next few weeks (or more) of social distancing.
Click any item image below to shop. These are commissionable links, which means I make a small percentage on each sale. This doesn’t increase the price to you.
The essentials, typically sold as a 4 step system (base, gel/adherent, activator, and top coat).
Other tools you’ll need but may have at home include a nail file and a buffing block. If you really want a pro finish, you can also purchase an inexpensive nail drill. How to use the drill is detailed in our DIY dip nail tutorial.
The dip colors. I love the ANC brand as well as OPI (the latter because you can match to your pedicure colors easily). A few of my personal favorites are linked below – but lots of other colors are available on the same listings if you’re looking for a different shade. (scroll left or right for more shades)
